As educated as a classical singer,
Lidija gave some new colour to pop music. She started her solo
career in pop music when she was only 14. She made her first steps
in the music business in the festivals "Beogradsko prolece" in 1983
and "Opatija" in 1984, under the name of Mala Lidija (Little Lidija).
She then released her first album Jos sam mlada (I'm still
young). In the meantime, Lidija was still growing up. She finished
school for classical solo singing with professor Milojko Pajevic.
She also finished her English lessons in the Belgrade University.
Up to now, Lidija recorded three albums and many of her singles were
hits. Cooperation with composer Dragan Brajevic and Dejan Abadic
brought her glory on the Yugoslav pop scene. Pitanje casti
(Question of honour), this year's Yugoslav entry for the OGAE
Song Contest, is taken from her brand new album.
