| Biography |
David Bisbal was born 23 years ago
in Almeria, South of Spain. His debut in the music business
started at the age of 17 when he sang and danced in the "Emociones"
orchestra. In 2001, he decided to take part in the casting for the
program "Operación Triunfo". He and fifteen other young people
were chosen among 5,000 people. This worldwide TV-reality program
(broadcast in many other countries) lasted five months and was a
special school for singers. He finished in second place just
leaving victory to Rosa. Both went to Tallinn and represented Spain
in the 2002 ESC with Europe's living a celebration. David
was one of Rosa's backing singers with some other "Operación
Triunfo"'s participants.
In May, he released his first album Corazon latino (Latin heart) as well and the first single was Ave Maria. Besides, the album's title track Corazóon latino was runner up to Rosa's Europe's living a celebration in the Spanish selection for ESC. Up to now, his album went to platinum seven times! In a very short time, David Bisbal has become one of the most popular singers in Spain. | |
